My career within the industry started at a reseller in 2009, and I joined Midwich as the company's first Plasma display specialist in 2001. I joined Fujitsu’s plasma division, managing the Midwich business, in 2003, and made a return to Midwich in 2005 as Senior Account Manager, managing some of our top I.T customers. My experience of working at a reseller, a distributor and a vendor has given me a balanced perspective across the channel which has helped me to be in the position that I am today.
During my time at Midwich, I have also managed the Vendor Resource Team (VRT) which was a team of 20 in-house AV vendor specialists who provided dedicated support both internally, to the Midwich team, and also to our reseller base. I became Major Accounts Sales Manager in 2011 and oversaw the team that manages our top 20 IT/AV customers – I then went onto manage these customers in an external position which led to winning ‘Best Sales Person across the Group.’
In January 2019, I was promoted to Account Director. My role is to lead the sales effort on all group technologies, take responsibility for planning, forecasting and budgeting, and to be able to make sound commercial decisions.
Looking back to when I joined in 2001, Midwich has dramatically transformed and now has a global feel. Midwich is forever evolving and creating new ideas to provide a better service and support function to its employees and partners.
