Samsung Stand Review | Tech Xpo 2022

Samsung has been a headline sponsor for Tech Xpo many times in the past. And it has a longstanding technology partnership with Ascot racecourse. So, Samsung is no stranger to the hustle and bustle of live events. This year, Samsung is focusing on making complex technology accessible to everyone.

The Samsung stand was the centre of networking! Positioned by reception, it was the first stand that customers saw when walking in. What a brilliant introduction to Tech Xpo. Samsung exhibited key products to demonstrate how display technology can integrate into traditional environments, enhance the space and craft impactful visual experiences.

Samsung Stole the Show with the New Wall All-in-One

The star of the show was the new 1.6mm Wall All-in-One MicroLED display. First announced at ISE in April, it is now available to the market. Tech Xpo enabled customers that couldn’t make it to Barcelona to see the display in all its glory. It created a lot of traction throughout the two days.

Customers were particularly impressed with its simplified installation process. Traditionally, LED displays are made up of cabinet tiles. With the All-in-One, you have much greater sections so it’s quicker to assemble. It only takes two hours to install – less than most movies run for! The Samsung team got to demonstrate that you don’t need to have specialist installation skills, they provide all of the components you need to build it on your own.

All it takes is 3 simple steps:

  1. Mount the wall brackets
  2. Dock the background plates
  3. Hang 4 preset modules

The Wall redefines the LED paradigm once again, helping businesses create unparalleled visual statements. Using Black Seal Technology, 20bit Processing, Linear Grayscale and Instant AI optimisation, it truly is a showstopper addition to events, meeting rooms and luxury leisure environments.

This new display is a testament to Samsung’s focus. That the latest technology doesn’t have to be complex. The inner workings may be groundbreaking, but it can be clouded by tricky installation and maintenance. The Wall removes this challenge so businesses can focus on what they do best.

Time for a Career Change?

Customers, vendors and the Midwich team all had a go on the racing SIM. Congratulations to the Samsung team who completed the fastest lap. Did you miss your calling?

We can vouch, it’s harder than it looks. Especially when you’re 5’2 and can’t reach the peddles. But nevertheless, this is what live events are all about! Getting to try out the technology and have a giggle at your colleagues driving skills, is there a better combination? I think not.

Order a Drink with Samsung Kiosk

One of the major selling points at Tech Xpo was the Kiosk. Customers could interact with the display and use it to order themselves a beer on the Samsung stand. If Samsung were trying to bribe us, it worked!

Samsung Kiosk was created by welding together several components to deliver a true out-of-the-box experience. Built on the Samsung System on Chip (SoC) platform, it eliminates the need for separate hardware such as a media player.

Using the intuitive all-in-one payment and ordering system, Samsung has delivered flexibility and personalised interactions to businesses all over the world including IKEA. Its compact, neutral and stylish design naturally blends into any space. But you couldn’t miss it at Tech Xpo – you can imagine how busy it got at the end of a long day! Plus, the team had to celebrate that one of their own won the £100 Peerless voucher.
