How to Choose the Right BrightSign Digital Signage Player

BrightSign make it easy to choose the right digital signage player for your needs. Rather than crowding the market with multiple models and part codes each with few differences, BrightSign instead manufacture a handful of different digital signage players for different digital signage requirements.

BrightSign produce award-winning digital signage media players from entry-level all the way up to enterprise media players. Depending on your digital signage needs, there will be a BrightSign player to match your requirement.

There are only a few questions you need to ask yourself to ensure you have the right BrightSign hardware for your needs.

These are the questions our BrightSign specialist Will Mathews recommends to help you choose the correct player:

  1. Is your digital signage project price sensitive?
  2. Will your digital signage be interactive?
  3. Is there a requirement for HDMI In to pass through Live TV or another HDMI source?
  4. Does your digital signage need PoE (Power over Ethernet)?
  5. Do you want an integrated OPS display/OPS player bundled solution?
  6. Is your content 4K and does it require true 4K graphics enablement?
  7. Do you require enterprise HTML performance for your content?
  8. Where can I buy a BrightSign Media Player?

1. Is your digital signage project price sensitive?

The entry-level BrightSign media player is the LS424. This player comes with a competitive price point and an abundance of features.

2. Will your digital signage be interactive?

BrightSign have three expanded IO Players suited for interactive digital signage. These are the HD1024, the XD1034 or the XT1144.

3. Is there a requirement for HDMI In to pass through Live TV or another HDMI source?

If you have content feeding from a separate HDMI source as part of your signage, then choose the XT1144 player. This is  the top of the range enterprise-level signage player and the only BrightSign player with an HDMI In Port.

4. Does your digital signage need PoE (Power over Ethernet)?

If your digital signage requires power over ethernet, then you should choose either of the XT players. Either the XT244 or the XT1144 BrightSign player are both top of the range and offer POE.

5. Do you want an integrated OPS display/OPS player bundled solution?

The HO523 is BrightSign’s only OPS Player, making it easy for you to know which one is best for your OPS display.

6. Is your content 4k and does it require true 4k graphics enablement?

For any true 4k graphics, HTML content, 4k images that you have then the Brightsign XT player range is the perfect fit.  It is the only player that support 4k full resolution graphics and gives crystal clear small sized text and HTML content.

7. Do you require enterprise HTML performance for your content?

Then the XT range is the way to go – it can play highly complex and memory-intensive HTML5 content such as swipe/pinch/zoom interactive, streaming social media & multiple modular HTML5 assets at Full HD or in 4K layered together with live TV, Full HD or a 4K video.
