Quiz raises £8550 for mental health charity, Mind

Multi award-winning global tech company Midwich, headquartered in Diss, recently held their 9th annual quiz night attended by over 150 staff members, their family members, friends and supporting manufacturers to raise a massive £8550 for their chosen charity, Norfolk and Waveney, Mind.

Midwich staff members and quiz organisers, Claire Wattam and Scott Norman, commented:

“This year’s quiz was a record breaking night for our chosen charity in terms of funds raised, the number of prizes donated and number of attendees, which is incredible. We had over 26 prizes donated by our manufacturer partners and supporting by our main sponsors; SMART Technologies, Samsung, IIYAMA, Fujitsu, Brother and LG.

Our quiz brings everybody together for a really fun night and it’s been a pleasure to organise for nine years now. To put this into perspective, the first quiz was attended by 30 people using a small projector and screen.”

Alexandra Haswell, Fundraising and Campaigns Manager for Norfolk and Waveney Mind, commented:

“We are delighted Midwich chose to support us and raise funds to help us offer an extensive range of support, advice and information to the people, businesses and communities within Norfolk and Waveney. As an independent charity, we are very grateful for the support of our local community.”

Midwich recently launched their charity pledge which forms part of their Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) focus. As part of that, the trade-only distributor has committed to raise between £40-50k for the Mind charity throughout 2019-20.
