The brief to OX2P, from Neopost, global supplier of business communication solutions, was to create a show stopping exhibition stand that included a truly seamless display at high resolution, for the IMHX exhibition in Birmingham. The week-long event at the NEC (National Exhibition Centre) is the UKs largest event for the logistical industry so Neopost needed to have a stand that had real impact and would catch the attention of attendees.
OX2P, exhibition stand design and content creation company, have a strong relationship with Neopost and regularly support their events by providing high quality, innovative stand designs. They specifically requested a bezel-less product from PSCo (part of the Midwich Group) so their content wouldn’t be interrupted, and knew that LED would be the right route to go down.
They have regularly hired both LED and Large Format Displays from PSCo and visited their Assessment Centre in Reading last year for a demonstration of the Absen A3Pro, 3.9mm LED. Although familiar with the 3.9mm pixel pitch product, they wanted a product which could achieve a higher resolution within the space available, and a reduced viewing distance. The product that best fit this brief was the Narrow Pixel Pitch (NPP) Absen A2, 2.5mm LED. The A2 provides a viewing distance of only 2 meters making it perfect for exhibitions where visitors will be close to the screen.
WHAT WE DID
The final display was made up of 49 panels of A2, 2.5mm LED, in a 7 x 7 formation, creating a 2.8 x 2.1 metre wall. The screen provided stunning quality content at near full HD resolution, 1120 x 840.
Karen Attride, Senior Rental Account Manager at PSCo, commented on the project: “We regularly work with OX2P and have a great relationship with them, so we were really pleased to be involved in this project. When they approached us and said they needed to ensure the product was bezel free we worked together to find the perfect solution, with the best resolution at the right price point, for them and their customer.”
Tim Matthews, Director at OX2P, said: “We were really pleased how the stand turned out – the screen provided the perfect solution for what we needed. The higher resolution worked perfectly for the customer’s content.”
