AV Magazine Education Supplement

People learn best when they’re involved and interested. With a number of dif- ferent generations ringing the changes almost as quickly as we blink, for today’s technology- savvy youngsters this means the process of engagement is one where the teacher-pupil interface is dominated by responsive com- ponentry and intuitive environments. Despite colleges and universities also requiring the latest technologies to attract students and provide them with the skills modern employers are asking for, you can safely assume that fee-paying students do expect formal teaching areas to be kitted out at least to the standard to which they’ve been accustomed at school. AV Magazine is currently witnessing a steady stream of amazing environments emerging from the higher education sector that has stepped up a level to teach the corporate world a thing or two about creat- ing sophisticated AV ecosystems that work seamlessly with IT infrastructures. There’s no doubt it’s a positive techfest out there. But to extract the most out of it requires a clear vision, a search for clear, knowledgeable and impartial advice to guide buyers in the right direction, so that AV and IT work together effectively to cre- ate a harmonious and productive environ- ment.
