True Colours Distribution, the technical division of Midwich, specialising in connectivity solutions for complex AV installations is delighted to announce that it will be distributing the Evoko Room Manager.

Winner of the 2011 iF product design award, the Evoko Room Manager is a hassle-free system for booking meeting rooms. The booking status of a meeting room is made clear on a touch-sensitive screen outside the room, while actions such as extending and cancelling a meeting are made easy. Bookings are made as usual using Outlook, and it is also possible to book spontaneous meetings directly on the touch-sensitive screen.

It is possible to increase the degree of room use even further by activating a function (Confirm) that automatically releases the room and allows it to be booked by others if the meeting is not confirmed within a certain period after the planned starting time.

The installation of Evoko Room Manager is simple: a touch-screen showing bookings and other information is installed outside the meeting room and is connected to the company’s Exchange server. It is no more difficult than setting up a new e-mail account on the server. Moreover, the system requires no new software.

Using icons and text, the screen interface clearly shows who has scheduled the room and for how long, as well as upcoming free periods. It is readily visible from a distance as to whether or not the room can be booked thanks to the screen’s green or red LED background illumination.
