Original projector bulb guarantee quality and device warranty
NEC Display Solutions is to begin labelling replacement bulbs for its projectors with immediate effect by placing tamper-proof stickers on their packaging, giving customers absolute certainty of their originality. Only original bulbs offer the same performance and reliability as the bulbs originally fitted in the device and at the same time ensure that the manufacturer’s warranty remains intact.
The market for replacement lamps has grown in the last years due to higher popularity of projectors in everyday life. Offers of replica and remanufactured bulbs have increased more and more in the recent past. Customers do however frequently find that lower prices come with inferior quality and more frequent replacements. These bulbs may also consume more power or contain substances hazardous to the environment. In a worst-case scenario, a lower quality bulb may explode, damaging the entire projector.
