Canon is pleased to announce the arrival of their new Mac Scanners

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The document scanner workgroup product segment continues to grow throughout Europe, a result of an increase in both general office users purchasing these products and also consumer users. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Research by Net Application* has shown that Mac has grown its market share worldwide from 3.64% in 2005 to 7.79% in 2008, whereas Windows for the same period saw a decline from 95.97% to 91.04%.  Gartner** predicts that Mac will double its share across North America and Europe by the 2011 – current 2008 MASH is 10%. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This research has highlighted to Canon that there is an opportunity to increase Workgroup MASH by fulfilling the needs of the increase in demand for a document scanner to work within a Mac environment.  The target market for these products will be the design/educational industry and office/consumer Mac users. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Therefore Canon has extended its workgroup scanner range to include:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

• Two dedicated Mac scanners - ImageFORMULA DR-2010M and ImageFORMULA DR-2510M 

   

• Start bundling TWAIN driver and CaptureOnTouch for Mac to the existing DR-2510C and DR-2010C models.
