Brother grows colour print sales
The latest Context figures show that Brother has grown sales in its colour laser MFC category and now occupies the top five slots for A4 machines in this category.
As reported by Channel Info, the company’s market share has increased in mono and colour laserprinter and inkjet all in one, despite the downward trends across theindustry in all three of these markets. But the biggest success is inthe 16ppm and over colour laser MFC category, where sales have grown by24 per cent YOY and where the company has the top five biggest sellingA4 machines.
Its inkjet multifunction sales are also performing well, withthe company’s market share increasing and its A3 models accounting for£4.4 million worth of revenue for 2009. Overall in laser, Brother hasgrown its volume sales by 5 per cent in the face of a market slide of 6per cent and there are eight Brother products in the mono laser top 20.
Head of P&S sales Terry Caulfield says: “These new figuresprove that whilst the market is declining in places, there are stillopportunities for growth if you choose your products and your partnerswisely. They are a testament to our quality product offering andexcellent working relationships with our channel partners. I can’toveremphasise the importance of the channel to our continued successand we’re lucky to have such a dedicated reseller base to work with."
